Nicolaus Gollwitzer , Global Head of Customer Service Organisation
Nicolaus joined Vodafone in March 2011, as Global Head of Technical, Machine to Machine. With a career in the technology and telecommunications sectors spanning over two decades he brings a wealth of experience to the business. Nicolaus is fully responsible for all pre-sales support and technical requirements across Vodafone’s M2M platform as well as the global service delivery.
Since starting at Vodafone, Nicolaus has initiated an alignment programme across the Vodafone Group and successfully completed multiple business transformation programmes including the improvement of the customer support organisation. “Vodafone’s ability to offer services across a wide range of industries in numerous countries was a major reason why I came on board. With growth expected across the M2M business, ensuring all technological requirements are met and maintained is vital in ensuring this momentum continues. Vodafone is well placed to deliver this,” he says.
Nicolaus held a range of senior management positions at companies including Oracle and Portal Software, before joining Vodafone. Most recently he was a vice president at Infor Global Solutions Professional Services Organisation (PSO) leading a team of 300 consultants. Prior to this he was senior director of services delivery, EMEA at Portal Software where he was responsible for delivering annual revenues of $40 million and expanding services team to 160 consultants.
Nicolaus holds a PhD in physics as well as a master’s degree in physics from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. He is fluent in both German and English.
