Analysys Mason’s M2M scorecard for communications service providers: Extract

Vodafone has been recognised as a global leader in machine-to-machine (M2M) networks and standards, securing the rating of Industry Icon in Analysys Mason’s independent M2M scorecard report. The research examined the performance of the top seven machine-to-machine communications service providers (CSPs). Vodafone was also rated joint first for overall excellence.

Analysys Mason’s M2M scorecard for communications service providers: 2012 report rated each of the seven CSPs against six different M2M categories that explored all aspects of their business, from overall strategy to R&D. Vodafone was praised for its M2M strategy, partnerships, organisational structure, networks and standards. The report emphasised Vodafone’s investment in driving industry standards and acknowledged the broad set of SLAs it offers to enterprise customers.

M2M technology connects ‘things’ to the internet, transforming them into intelligent devices that exchange real time information. This opens up a range of possibilities for how businesses are run, how they grow, and how they keep customers happy. For more than 20 years, Vodafone has connected M2M customers globally and is behind some of the world’s most prominent and successful M2M deployments, which include BMW and TomTom.
